Winters Mill (MD) junior attack Erin McGuire has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Jacksonille University.

Major lacrosse honors: First Team All County (Carroll County, MD), First Team All Conference, Maryland 1A/2A state champions

Academic honors: Academic Honor roll Freshman And Sophomore year

What will you major in/study? “I plan to major in Exercise Science to become a physical therapist.”

Why did you choose the school? “I was interested in going to a college in Florida and when I heard about Jacksonville I went to their camp and really enjoyed the atmosphere and the location. The campus is beautiful and I felt like I’d really fit in with their style of play. Also I was looking for a smaller school.

What are your thoughts on this past HS lacrosse season/team’s outlook for next season? “Our past season couldn’t have gone any better. We really worked hard and came closer as a team, which helped achieve our goal. Our hard work off and we came home as state champions. Next season we will have to work hard, but I think we can make it all the way once again.”
