Top Lax Recruits Verified Evaluation:
Griffin is just a baller on the offensive side. Solid dodger that shows off a quick 1st step, change of direction, and ability to dice up defenders and score through traffic with both hands. Boston’s offensive skill demands the entire defense’s attention and he takes advantage by drawing slides and finding his open teammates or scores through 1 or 2 slides. While scoring 36 points as a sophomore on varsity, his tape shows high IQ off ball play and a knack for scoring off timely cuts and in transition. His overhand jump shot and step down are deadly for goalies to stop and he isn’t afraid to throw his body around and score off rides. Very solid attackman that will find a home very soon!

TLR Evaluation: Gavin is a dominant all around fogo with very quick hands and a arsenal of moves at the X. He has the ability to win the clamp and control the ball into space and push transition but what stands out from his tape is his hand strength, scrappy ball skills, and ability to use his body and win the ground ball in traffic 50/50 situations. He counters at an elite level and has the speed and ball protection to get out and find space in hairy situations. We also love the fact that he added some defensive clips and showed off that he can lose faceoffs but hustles to create caused turnovers and pick up 1st time GBs. Overall, Gavin Ferrington is a gritty athletic fogo that can win the ball to wings or to himself and has the high IQ and technique that can be a game changer for any program. Coming from a non-traditional area like Shreveport, LA, these type of fogos might not be tested by elite competition but Gavin has dominated at showcases and prospect camps and is only going to improve the next 2 years.

For what he lacks in size, Nick makes up for with his effort and hustle plays all over the offensive side. You can tell by his play that he’s constantly moving, working on all aspects of the game in his own time, and someone that will work hard for any team & coach. Sucato is one to watch this fall and will benefit any top tier program.

Jack is an elite shut down defender that plays physical on ball and has great sticks skills and footwork. What stands out from Schwartz’s tape is his physicality and ability to dictate high caliber Attackman to falling into his trap while not being able to get around him cleanly and get shots off. He throws hard checks and is a brick wall if you try to dodge through him. Jack has the ability to pick up 1st time ground balls in different areas of the field and clear it on his own to start transition. High level prospect that can make an impact at the D1 level.
