Columbine High School (CO) junior goalie Julia Lisella has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at the University of Colorado.

What will you major in/study? Undecided

Why did you choose Colorado? “University of Colorado has so much to offer. It has great academics, a beautiful campus and Boulder is such a great college town. Each time I went up to a camp or to watch a football game I really felt like it was a perfect fit. It will be so exciting to be part of a brand new lacrosse program headed by Coach Ann Elliott, and I believe CU women’s lacrosse has a very bright future.

“The fact that my older brother is verbally committed to CU for football makes it even better because we will have the opportunity to watch each other play. I love Colorado and I am so happy that I have a chance to represent my state and I am extremely happy with my decision to become a CU BUFF!”

Outlook for your High School team? “We lost a lot of great senior players, but with a new coaching staff on board I think we will work extremely hard and hopefully compete in the playoffs.”
