Cold Spring Harbor (N.Y.) junior goalie Haley Crosson has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Johns Hopkins University.

Haley Crosson ledger:

Haley Crosson

High school: Cold Spring Harbor (N.Y.)

Graduation Year: 2015

Position:
Goalie

College Choice: Johns Hopkins University

Club Affiliation: Long Island Yellow Jacket 2015 Blue

Major lacrosse honors:
All Conference 2012, All Country Honorable Mention 2013, Long Island Metro Team 2013

Academic Honors: High Honor Roll Student, Coach for multiple youth leagues (community service)

What will you major in/study? Major in Political Science

Why did you choose the school? “In my mind, Johns Hopkins offered the most to me in the classroom and on the lacrosse field. Coach (Janine) Tucker and the rest of her staff took the time to make me feel welcome and to fully explain what Hopkins had to offer me. After long consideration and careful thought the decision became clear to me.”

What are your thoughts on this past HS lacrosse season/team’s outlook for next season? “My high school team just moved into the highest league and had a very successful season. We came up short in the past two county finals and hope to reach the Long Island Championship next year. We have a lot of young talent that makes our future very bright.”

Thank You:
“There are many people that have helped me in my lacrosse career and recruiting process. Special thanks to my current field hockey and lacrosse head coach, Danielle Skakandi. I would also like to mention some key coaches in my summer program, Yellow Jackets director Carol Rose, and my coaches for the past four summers, Joe Leighton and Pete Mitchell.”

Other Schools considered? Brown, Yale, Duke, Princeton, Loyola
