Thursday’s boys’ results: Chaminade (NY) downs St. Anthony’s (NY), Gonzaga (DC), Paul VI (VA) to meet in DC WCAC finals

Tommy Zenker and Ryan Lukacovic each had three goals as Chaminade (NY) defeated host St. Anthony’s (NY), 7-5, Thuirsday to finish a regular-seaosn sweep of its arch-rival in the CHSAA.

The Flyers (13-1), ranked No. 4 by TopLaxRecruits.com, also got great work at the face-off X by Kris Clarke, (13 of 15).

St. Anthony’s (9-3) also lost both regular-season games to Chaminade last year, but won the CHSAA championship game.

Paul VI (VA) 13, DeMatha (MD) 8
Gonzaga (DC) 19, St. Mary’s Ryken (MD) 5

Connor Murphy scored five goals and Logan Aunon added three goals and four assists as Paul VI (18-2) advanced to Monday’s title game (7 p.m.) against top-seeded Gonzaga at the University of Maryland.

The Panthers scored four unanswered goals in the third quarter to break a 5-5 tie.

Alex Corboy had three goals and three assists to lead the third-ranked Purple Eagles (18-2) past St. Mary’s Ryken (14-6).
