Woodberry Forest School (VA) junior attackman/midfielder Patrick Shea has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at the University of Richmond.

High School: Woodberry Forest School, VA (North of Charlottesville); a native of Oakville Ontario Canada.

Graduation Year: 2015

Position: Attack/Midfield

College Choice: University of Richmond

Club Affiliation: Edge Lacrosse

Major lacrosse honors, All-Star teams, Camps, Showcases: Drafted 5th overall in the 2013 Ontario Lacrosse Association Junior A draft. Attended NSCLA, Blackcard Showcase, Maverick Showetime and All Canada Games (All Star) this summer. Tournament All-Star at attack for the U-16 Canadian Field Championship in 2012.

What will you major in/study? “I intend to major in Business.”

Why did you choose the school? “Richmond has a good academic reputation and I felt at home there when I went for my unofficial visit and believe they are building a very solid program there.”

What are your thoughts on this past HS lacrosse season/team’s outlook for next season? “We had a good team this past year and made it out of the first round of the playoffs. We have a lot of guys returning this year so our goal is to make it further this year than last year.”
