What will you major in/study? Human Resource Management
Why did you choose Cabrini? “I didn’t buy into a lot of the hype that surrounds the recruiting process today. I made sure I took a good look at where I would fit in both as a student and as an athlete. I had a good idea of what I wanted in a school and Cabrini perfectly fit that profile.
“Coach (Steve) Colfer and Coach (Nick) Taylor did a great job of taking me step by step through the recruiting process to assure Cabrini was the fit for me. When I went on my visit they did just that and it reinforced that Cabrini was the best choice for me. On my visit it all just made sense as the coaches were very open and thorough with me and the players made me feel very welcome. There is no doubt that they have a winning culture and I hope to contribute to that.
“Academically, Cabrini offers a self design program that will allow me to explore other majors should I choose specialized career paths. The school also has strong connections in the Philadelphia area that that will help with internships and job opportunities. All of this stuck out to me as an obvious fit. Although I’ll be going to school near Philadelphia, I will still be a loyal Boston Sports Fan.”
Outlook for your High School team? “After having a short stay in the State Tournament last year, we look to build off that after only losing two starters and hope that our experienced senior heavy team will carry us deep into the post season. Also, we hope to win the Chowda Cup for the 2nd time in 3 years, a local tradition.”
Thank You: “I would like to thank all those who helped me get where I am now. My Club Coach, Coach Bagby (Black Jacks), who has coached me for the past four summers and has worked with me to improve all areas of goaltending. Also Coach Puzzangara who has been my High School Coach for my entire High School career.
“Then my family who have been by my side this whole time and I couldn’t be here right now if it wasn’t for them. Along with my brother who has pushed me to work hard and taught me how nothing will be given to me if I don’t work for it.
“I can’t forget about Scituate High School and the whole Scituate community, who have pushed me to excel both as a student and as a member of the community. I am extremely grateful for all of these people.”
