Sachem North High School (N.Y.) sophomore goalie Jacob Giacalone has made a commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Johns Hopkins University.

Why did you choose Johns Hopkins? “From my first visit to Johns Hopkins, I realized the University could offer me the best of two worlds: Top-Ranked Academic and Lacrosse programs. I was really impressed by the campus, and the dedication the University has to its lacrosse program.
“On my visits to the campus, Head Coach (Dave) Pietramala and the team made me feel like I was home. We share the same level of commitment to family, community, academics and lacrosse, which made Hopkins the perfect fit.”
What are your thoughts on this past HS lacrosse season/teams outlook for next season? “This past season we did pretty well but this upcoming season we will be a very tough team to beat.”
