Bronxville High School (NY) sophomore defenseman-LSM Jack Gelinas has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Bucknell University.

What will you major in/study? Economics
Why did you choose Bucknell? “Bucknell offers an incredible academic opportunity for me as well as being one of the most beautiful campuses in the country. Its Lacrosse program is full of rich tradition and success along with an incredible Coaching Staff. Coach (Frank) Fedorjaka, Coach (Joe) Conner, and Coach (Nick) Marks are all very intelligent coaches along with being nice people. Overall, I think that the main reason I chose Bucknell is because it offers the best balance of academic, athletic, and social opportunities that I want to have in College.”
Outlook for your High School team? “Last Year, we made it to the NY State Championship for the first time in our school’s history. We lost To Cazenovia, but I believe that this year we have the same opportunity to strive for a State Championship again. Although we lost some great Senior leaders, we have a lot of returning talent on all sides of the ball. Our Coach Tim Horgan, has been enrolling us in many high-quality fall tournaments to assure that we are prepared for this upcoming season. In all, I have great faith in myself, my teammates, and coaches that we can return this year with equal hopes of a State title.”
