FINAL: Charlotte Catholic HS (NC) 14 The Cannon School (NC) 11

3/11/2024 (Charlotte, NC) – It was a great day in Charlotte for a highly competitive boys lacrosse matchup in the south for the Top Lax Recruits High School Game of The Week! Charlotte Catholic HS (NC) improved their record to 6-0 with a 14-11 win at The Cannon School (NC).

This was a big in state game between 2 nationally recognized programs with a ton of pedigree and committed players on both sides! Both coaches going into the game we\’re very confident about their teams and chances to stay undefeated and harped on the big matchups between star players.

This game was back and forth in the 1st half as the Cannon School jumped out to a 3-1 lead early and was really hitting their stride on offense lead by UNC Commit 2024 Attackman Brevin Wilson, who ended with 4 goals and an assist. Catholic\’s star FOGO Cannon Ridinger (Providence Commit) really shined in this game controlling the X and giving his team the advantage on possessions. For Charlotte Catholic, their offense really got going when Georgetown commit 2024 Attackman Jack Ransom had the ball and created offense from X. Ransom had a great game with 3 goals and an assist but Salisbury commit Brendan Leonard 2025 Attackman led the scoring with some 4 goals and an assist for Catholic. After a fast start and a bunch of highlight reel goals, the dust settled and Charlotte Catholic hung on to a small lead in the 4th quarter. After a bunch of penalties and man up opportunties for both teams in the last 5 minutes, Catholic\’s 2024 goalie Brady Kam (Uncommitted) made some key saves and helped his team hold off the Cannon School from making a late comeback.
