Eric Scott scored three goals to lead Ridge to an 8-7 victory over Don Bosco Prep Saturday in the New Jersey boys’ lacrosse Tournament of Champions title game at Alumni Stadium at Kean University in Union.
Ridge, which was making its first appearance in the T of C finals, finished 20-3 and closed its season with 12 straight wins.
The game was tied, 4-4, entering the final quarter but Scott put his team ahead 1:09 into the period and Alec Burckley made it 6-4 before Burckley fed Owen Molloy for a 7-4 lead with 7:17 to play.
Marc Buermann led Don Bosco (18-3) with two goals and one assist while Max Allen added two goals.
