BALTIMORE – Erin McGuire scored three goals and tallied the game-winner with three minutes to play, lifting Winters Mill to an 8-7 victory today over Easton in the Maryland Public 2A/1A girls’ lacrosse championship in front of a boisterous crowd at UMBC.

The teams were tied, 4-4, at the half before the Falcons (15-5) took a 7-4 lead. But Easton (16-3) responded and tied it, 7-7, on a tally by Paige Blanche.
But the Falcons responded as McGuire ripped a shot by Easton goalie Kali Morgan to help the Falcons claim their fourth Maryland 2A/1A State title.
Coeli Love three goals and one assist for the Falcons.
Paige Gamble had three goals for Easton.
