5/28/2024 (Boston, MA) – As part of our new interview series “Getting to Know Top Lax Recruits”, Lexi Morgensen from the TLR staff caught up with Boston College star goalie and Darien HS Alum Shea Dolce! Shea is a starting Goalie for Boston College and a on the Tewaaraton watch list this year while leading the Eagles to a Final Four appearance this weekend. Her journey to start at as she began playing lacrosse and took her from Ohio in 6th grade to moving to Connecticut for CT Grizzlies and Darien before getting her shot to get recruited to play D1.

AS A FRESHMAN (2023)
Appeared in 22 games while starting in the final 16 games of the season … was the first freshman goalie since 2016 to start between the cages, posted a 15-3 mark with 128 saves, Inside Lacrosse All-American Honorable Mention, USA Lacrosse All-American Honorable Mention, ACC Freshman of the Year, ACC All-Tournament Team and Most Valuable Player, led all freshmen in the nation with an 8.84 goals-against average, while she was second in the ACC and 10th in the nation, her .457 save percentage also led all freshmen in the country, was fourth in the league and 29th overall, was fourth on the team with 25 ground balls, only freshman to win multiple ACC Player of the Week awards and one of two freshmen to be named IWLCA Defensive Player of the Week, had three games with at least 10 saves, including a career-high 13 stops against Notre Dame (4/8), also recorded 12 saves in the win at Syracuse (4/20) and 11 in the ACC Tournament win over the Fighting Irish (4/28).

Before BC
No. 1 goalie and seventh-ranked recruit according to IL Women, three-time all-state and all-league honoree, lettered all four years in lacrosse, soccer and basketball, was a captain in all three sports, all-league second team in basketball.
