Bishop Timon-St. Jude rising senior attackman Connor Fields has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at the University of Albany.
Connor Fields ledger:
High school: Bishop Timon-St. Jude
Year of graduation: 2014
Position: Attack
College choice: UAlbany
Club affiliations: Champion Select and Crush 2014 National Team
Major lacrosse honors: 2012 2nd Team All WNY and 1st Team All Catholic; 2013 All American, 1st Team; All WNY and 1st Team All Catholic; set the NYS Single Season Goal Record with 129 Goals; selected to the Upstate NY Under Armour Team; 2012 Selected to the Blue Chip Elite All Star Game and led both teams in scoring.
Intended major: Business
Why did you choose Albany: “I chose UAlbany because of the way they use their attack in their offense, the opportunity that they give their freshman to play and the coaching staff.”
Looking back on HS season, and ahead to next year: “This year, Bishop Timon won its second consecutive NYS CHSAA State Title. We also won the Blue Division at the North American Lacrosse Invitational. Next year I think we also have a good chance of defending our State Title.”
I would like to thank Coach Burke for setting up a very challenging out of conference schedule and for having the trust in me to give me the green light to shoot.
Other schools considered: Michigan, Holy Cross and Villanova.
