Joie Safonte is a savvy left handed 2026 attackman with great speed, elite off-ball play, and ability to catch and finish. Joie’s tape shows high IQ play, especially off-ball, and her timing of cuts and taking advantage of the defense ball watching. She has the speed and quickness to blow by defenders and score or assist her teammates. Safonte is an impact player for Florida Select and has already made all region and county selections as a Freshman in FL. You can tell by the film that Joie is a constant threat to cut and score off ball and needs to be kept tight tabs on by the defense or she will expose them. We love Safonte’s combination of speed and off ball wizardry on the offense size. An area of improvement is to be more dynamic as a dodger and ability to finish with both hands. We can’t wait to see more this season and summer before she makes her commitment this fall.
