Cherry Creek High School (CO) sophomore attackman Henry Adams has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at the University of Michigan.

Maverick Showtime All-Star; Denver Shootout; Baltimore Summer Kick-Off and 3D in FLG; Won the U15 National Championship with Jake Reed Nike Blue Chip; All-Tournament National Championship Team by Lacrosse Magazine; The #9 sophomore recruit by Inside Lacrosse Magazine
What will you major in/study? Undecided/Business
Why did you choose Michigan? “I chose Michigan for many reasons. First, Michigan is an amazing academic University which is something that was very important to me in this process. I loved everything about the school when I visited -The coaching staff and the players were all great guys, the campus was perfect and I was blown away by the athletic facilities and the support that the University gives to its sports teams. It was very clear to me that the Athletic Department is serious about building a great lacrosse program that will compete at the highest level in the next few years.”
What are your thoughts on this past HS lacrosse season/team’s outlook for next season? “Last year my High School team, Cherry Creek, competed in the State Championship game but lost to Arapahoe. It was a tough loss for us after beating them in the regular season and having a significant lead at halftime. I think we learned a lot in that game and hopefully we will use that going into this season. We lost some great Seniors, but I think our team is going to be very strong again. Almost our entire defense is returning, including our goalie and our entire attack is returning. We lost a few midfielders, but there are some great players that will fill those spots this year. We are all hoping to finish the job in 2014.”
Thank You: “I’ve been really lucky to have great coaching. I started playing for 3D Lacrosse the summer before my 8th grade year and that’s when Jamie Munro started coaching me. I’ve learned so much from him and he has been really helpful in the recruiting process. My High School coach, Bryan Perry, gave me a shot as a freshman and moved me to attack which I had never played before. I’m really appreciative of both of those things.”
