What will you major in/study? Either Business Administration with a Marketing concentration or Mass Communications.

Why did you choose Shenandoah? “I fell in love with the school on my very first visit to campus. The campus is beautiful, the town it is located in has many offerings for the students, and the location is very ideal for finding internships because it is near D.C. and Baltimore.

“As far as academics, they have multiple majors and minors I would be interested in which is good to have in case I ever decide to switch majors. Their business schools is well-known and recognized and with their fast track program you can earn your master’s degree with just one more year of school. They also offer many resources for the students, including tutoring and career services. I also like the many living options they have to offer. The campus and enrollment are a great size for me.

“Finally, the lacrosse program was very appealing to me because I think I will be able to make an impact starting my freshman year. Coach Lutz has a lot of experience and has established a great program at Shenandoah. When I met the team, they really made me feel welcome. It stood out to me how much they include the freshman on the team and I loved the chemistry they had together. This school is a perfect fit for me and I am excited for my future there!”

HS team’s outlook for 2017 season? “We lost a lot of seniors and practically our whole starting lineup. Thus, this will be a rebuilding season for us. We have a big group of freshman, so it will be exciting to see them play at a higher level and how they impact the team. This season I really need to step up as a leader and make sure the program is well established so that it will continue on even after I graduate. Last season my team made it to the second round of playoffs, so if we could make it there again or hopefully advance further, it would be really exciting to do with our basically new group.”

Thank You: “First and foremost, I have to thank God for blessing me with the ability to play lacrosse, the talents he blessed me with, and the path he is leading me on/journey he is taking me on. Second, I have to thank my brother for introducing me to the game of lacrosse, teaching me practically everything I know about the game, and convincing me to play goalie. Third, I have to thank my parents for all the support throughout my many years of playing the sport, for taking me on multiple college visits, and all their time and money spent.

“Finally, I have to give a shout out to all my coaches from my high school & club team, counselors at camps I’ve attended, and all my teammates. Thank you for teaching me, encouraging me, being my fans, and for all the memories.”

Other schools considered: Berry College, University of Mount Union, Hope College
