HS team’s outlook for 2017: “I am excited to have the core team returning, which will be supplemented with some new talent. We will have to adjust to a new coach, but our young team is definitely up to the challenge and looking to make a run at states.”

Why I chose this school: “Northwestern has been a dream school of mine every since I became interested in engineering. The academics are amazing and the resources for engineering students have no comparison. After visiting the school, I fell in love with the campus and being on Lake Michigan. The hardworking culture of the team was a huge draw, and the support and excitement I felt from the coaches made it a perfect fit for me.”

People to thank: “I want to thank my parents for always supporting me in whatever sport I was playing, always pushing me to my best and giving me all the tools I need to succeed. Thanks to my brother for ripping shots on me whenever necessary. My high school coach, Lisa Aikman, pushed me to become a full time goalie and for that I am extremely grateful. Jackie Farmer and Jess Henderson also helped me improve my skills throughout two high school seasons and endless shots. I want to thank Jen Duckenfield, for helping me through my recruiting process and supplying me with more lacrosse knowledge than I know what to do with, and Michele DeJuliis, for advising me and supporting me as I explored the crazy world of college lacrosse. And lastly, my teammates for always having my back and making lacrosse so much more than a game.”
