Penncrest High School (PA) 2018 midfielder Grace Harding has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Drexel University.
Grace Harding profile:

High School: Penncrest High School, PA
Graduation Year: 2018
Position: Center Mid
College Choice: Drexel University (committed in April)
Club Affiliation: Phantastix
Lacrosse Honors: All-Central 2nd Team Freshman and Sophomore years. All-Delco Honorable Mention Freshman and Sophomore years. High School Varsity team MVP Freshman year. US National Lacrosse-Team Philadelphia. Maximum Exposure
Academic Honors: Honor Roll Freshman and Sophomore years; World Language Honor Society
What will you major in/study? Engineering
Why did you choose Drexel? “I love the City. From the moment I walked onto campus I was so excited. Coaches (Hannah) Rudloff, (Mary) Moran, and (Jackie) Cifarelli were so welcoming and they made me and my parents feel extremely comfortable. I immediately felt like I was a part of something special. For college, I was looking for outstanding academic opportunities as well as a very competitive lacrosse program. And with Drexel’s academic reputation and with the tough lax schedule playing in the very competitive CAA, it is a perfect match.”
Outlook for 2017 HS season? “We play in the always tough Central League division, which consists of 12 teams. The top 5 teams in District 1 rankings are all from the Central league. 8 teams from our league made the playoffs. We missed playoffs by 4 spots last year. My first year we were 6-12, and last year we got to 9-9. We hope to be even better this year. We will play tougher out of league opponents this year to try and improve our ranking. My teammates and I are very much looking forward to this upcoming season and hope to make playoffs.”
Thank You: “First off, I would like to thank my parents who have supported me in everything that I do. Secondly, I would like to thank my coaches over the years, Mr. Bill O’Donnell, Mrs. Petit, and my current high school coach Robin Keevan. Finally I would like to thank Sue Frazier, JoAnn Yusko, and Coach Lorraine Beers; thanks for all your help over the last few years!”
Other schools considered: Navy, Towson, High Point, Lehigh, Lafayette, University of Delaware, Virginia Tech, St. Joseph’s and George Mason
