What will you major in/study? “Science or Law.”

Why did you choose Butler? “Butler has the beauty of both big time sports as well as a small, close-knit campus and school; I was really attracted to Butler because of the fact that it is in the Big East Conference. Additionally, I’ve known Coach (Cecil) Pilson for years and trust that he will improve the program quickly. Also, I love the live mascot, Trip, as well as the sports equipment and colors. While looking at schools, I wanted to be by a big city but still have the traditional kind of campus; Butler being so close to Indianapolis is perfect and really made me like the school even more. For these many reasons, I believe I will be able to succeed at Butler University both academically and athletically.”

2016 HS season highlights/outlook for 2017? “This year, we had a tough loss in the District Championship to one of our big rivals. We lost a lot of girls this year and ended up having a very young team. At first the girls were nervous and not confident, but after a few games and encouragement from the rest of the team, these freshman were able to step up. Despite the heart-breaking loss this season, I believe we will be stronger than ever next year and will get a championship win.”

Thank You: “I would like to thank my parents for taking the time to travel and take me to clinics, camps, tournaments, and even to club practice every week (that was two hours away). Without them, there is no way I would be where I am today. Also, I would like to thank all of my coaches for helping me get to the next level so quickly. I am so lucky to have so much support from my family, coaches, teammates, and friends.”

Other schools considered: USMA – West Point, St. Bonaventure, George Washington
