Cicero North Syracuse (N.Y.) sophomore defender Lexxi Knoblock has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Winthrop University.

What will you major in/study? Communications/Psychology

Why did you choose school? “I chose Winthrop University for several reasons. I wanted to go to school in the south where there was a good balance of academics and athletics. The campus was very homey, and the coaching staff and team have great chemistry.”

Outlook for your High School team? “My high school team has a lot of talent and we are looking to win the NYS Section 3 Championship. We lost to Baldwinsville in the championship game last year. It was tough as we had defeated West Genesee in the semifinals. We feel as though we have some unfinished business. We are very excited for the upcoming season.”
