Wagner College’s Eli Fisher is Ben Ten Bound

05/29/2023 By Jonah Alewine

5/29/23 – Staten Island, NY – Eli Fisher has transferred to “The” Ohio State University from Wagner College. Fisher, a short-stick midfielder was a first-team All-MAAC selection, and a two-year captain at Wagner. He was the Wagner College SAAC Executive Board Head of Diversity Equity and Inclusion, and male representative for NEC SAAC. Fisher was also a NEC Student Athlete of the Year finalist, a part of the student advisory committee, and a representative at the NCAA leadership forum in 2022.

Why did you choose Ohio State? – “After being a 4 year starter and graduating from Wagner College with a degree in sports administration, I felt that I was not yet ready to hang up the cleats. I entered the transfer portal looking to join a new program where I could excel and continue to become the best version of myself.  I am now pursuing a postgraduate certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion!”

Who do you wish to thank? – “I would like to thank my parents Tyrone and Georgie Fisher for always supporting me in my athletic endeavors. My high school coaches Mike Bender and Errol Wilson for helping me get recruited to Wagner College. My college coaches Bill McCutcheon and Marc Zolchonock for a great 4 years at Wagner, they helped develop me into the player I am today. I would like to thank coach Nick Myers and Travis Crane for recruiting me and helping me find a home for my 5th year. Lastly I would like to thank all of my teammates for supporting me and pushing me day in and day out.”
