TLR Evaluation

Sully McDonough is a complete goal scorer and facilitator from behind the cage. He can beat defenders with both hands and has the field presence and strength to use his body and stick protection to get above GLE and get his hands free for a shots and feeds to teammates.

Sully is also a player who is battle tested, as he plays year round at the prestigious IMG Academy and for several national clubs in the summers and fall. Against strong competition, Sully has proven that he can score in different ways and will be a problem for opposing defenses to cover. His dodging from X is a strength in his game and his ability to bully defenders and make plays around the goal is top tier.

McDonough is also a solid off ball player with a cannon of a shot with his right hand. His film also shows great clips of his scrappy play on the ride and has a knack for making tough hustle plays in transition.

If Sully can improve his quickness, change of direction and become more of a threat to dodge/score with his left hand, our staff believes that he has the ability to make a D1 roster but could be a steal at a high end academic powerhouse D2/D3 lacrosse program.
