3/31/23 – Haddonfield, NJ – Avé Martin commits to the Retrievers of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). Martin is a midfielder with offensive experience for the SJ Shamrocks club lacrosse program. The 2024 graduate of Paul VI High School is a two-time second-team all-conference member. Martin is currently a three-year honor roll student at the high school level. The future UMBC women’s lacrosse player will major in Allied Health.

Why did you choose UMBC? – “I chose this school because I immediately clicked with the coaches the first time I talked with them. UMBC felt like home when I went on campus. I think I will fit in well playing lacrosse at UMBC, as well as being a person at UMBC and living everyday life.”
