Charles Kelly won 22 of 27 face-offs and Drew Schantz collected three goals and an assist for Malvern Prep (0-2), which was ranked No. 17 coming in.

No. 13 Boys’ Latin (MD) 17, Lovett (GA) 14

Jake Glatz won 18 of 29 face-offs and the Lakers (3-1) got 12 goals from its midfield in the victory.

No. 6 Landon School (MD) 13, Paul VI (VA) 7

Colton Rupp and Griffin Brow each had three goals to lead the Bears (3-0).

Loyola Blakefield (MD) 18, Germantown Academy (PA) 6

Alex Roesner and Cole Williams each had four goals and two assists and Ryan Conrad added four goals and one assist as host Loyola broke open a 3-3 game with an 8-1 run in the second period. AC Newton posted 9 saves before being relieved.

Jim McAfee had three goals and an assist for GA.

Max Bailey collected five goals and three assists and Michael Lamon and Doug Hill each added hat tricks as the Admirals (2-0) rolled.

Winn Medlock had five goals, Tom Garrett added four and Cade Klewinski had two goals and three assists for the defending state champion Owls (4-2).
