Junior Mikey Wynne scored seven goals and host St. Paul’s School (MD) used a 9-2 run in the fourth quarter to defeat Severn School, 15-9, in an MIAA contest Tuesday.
The Crusaders, ranked No. 3 by TopLaxRecruits.com., improved to 14-1 overall and 4-1 in the MIAA.
Severn led, 4-1, after one period and 7-4 at halftime and still led, 7-6, after the third quarter.
Mike D’Amelio was a catalyst in the St. Paul’s comeback, winning 25-of-28 faceoffs, including 15-of-15 in the second half. He also had 22 ground balls, scored a goal and added an assist.
Ryan Lamon led Severn (9-7, 1-4) with three goals and three assists and Hunter Gray added two goals and two assists.
Boys’ Latin (MD) 21, Archbishop Spalding (MD) 8
Jake Walsh had three goals and an assist and Shack Stanwick added two goals and three assists to lead a balanced attack as No. 1 Boys’ Latin coasted to an MIAA victory to remain perfect at 15-0 and 5-0.
Girls
Mt. Hebron 15, Howard 9
Jennifer Giles had five goals and an assist and Haley Sutton added four goals, leading No. 6 Mt. Hebron.
The Vikings (10-1 overall, 8-0 Howard) travel to No. 8 Marriotts Ridge (10-0, 8-0 Howard) on Friday, with the winner claiming sole possession of first place.
Katie Schluderberg had three goals and an assist for Howard, and Maddie Regal and Kristen Woolschlager each added two goals.
Harriton (PA) 10, Radnor (PA) 9
The No. 14 Rams (10-1, 6-1) remained tied atop the Central League as Jane Henderson had four goals, Sabrina Tabasso collected three goals and an assist and Katie Melvin scored three while Melina Avery saved 10.
Sydney Cowles and Brooke Pancoast each scored three goals for Radnor (7-3, 5-2).
Strath Haven (PA) 12, Conestoga (PA) 11
Morgan Glassford (four goals) scored the game-winner with 1:29 to play and Kirsten Wilhelmsen added three goals as the visiting Panthers (10-1, 6-1) toppled the No. 19 Pioneers (9-2, 5-2) remained tied with Harriton for the Central League lead.
Meghan McGillis led the Pioneers with four goals and tallied her 200th and 201st career goal.
