The TopLaxRecrits.com Girls’ Southern Rankings:
1. St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes (VA) 6-1: The Saints fell to Good Counsel – ranked one spot ahead of them in the STEPS North America Rankings at No. 2 – 16-14 in the SSSA Spring Fling. Still, Saints’ legendary coach Kathy Jenkins earned her 700th win earlier in the day.

2. Bishop Ireton (VA) 8-0: The Cardinals are undefeated, with strong wins over Agnes Irwin (PA) 12-9 and and Loyola Academy (IL) 12-9. They play Good Counsel on Friday in a huge big test.

3. Milton (GA) 11-1: The Eagles added five wins after defeating Lassiter (GA), Holy Child (MD), Collegiate School (VA), Holy Cross (MD) and Georgetown Visitation (DC).

5. Cardinal Gibbons (N.C.) 7-0: The Wildcats remain undefeated with a 17-1 win over Jordan (NC). They play Myers Park on Friday. They defeated Hinsdale Central (IL) 15-6 to end their regular season.

4. Vero Beach (FL) 14-4: The Fighting Indians fell to an undefeated St. Anthony’s squad, 7-5, but look like a favorite to win an 11th straight state crown.

6. Lake Highland Prep (FL) 14-1: The Highlanders finished off their regular season with wins over Hinsdale Central (IL) 15-11 and American Heritage (FL) 9-5.

7. Robinson Secondary (VA) 7-0: The Rams are undefeated so far. They defeated previously ranked #7 St. Anne’s Belfield 18-8 on Saturday. They begin conference play today against Lake Braddock.

8. Ponte Vedra (FL) 13-3:The Cowgirls defeated previously ranked #8 St. Thomas Aquinas 13-8 this past week. They face Nease on Wednesday to end their regular season.

9. Olympia (FL) 16-2: The Titans ended their regular season with a 15-14 defeat of Jensen Beach.

10. Charlotte Country Day School (VA) 9-1: The Buccaneers have had a strong season far. Their only loss comes to the strong Vero Beach squad 10-7. They face Marvin Ridge on Wednesday.

Under consideration: American Heritage (FL) 15-2, Charlotte Catholic (N.C.) 8-2, St. Anne’s-Belfield (VA) 6-3, Coppell (TX) 9-3, H.B. Plant (FL) 13-1, Hutchison (TN) 5-2, Mill Creek (GA) 12-0, North Gwinnett (GA) 9-2, Oakton (VA) 3-1, St. John’s (TX) 9-2, Walton (GA) 9-2, Westminster (GA) 10-2.
