Dylan Tawes is a very solid dodger with a heck of right handed shot. She is an attack-now minded offensive player, who has great vision to find teammates around the goal and causes a lot of attention from a defense. From her tape, we love her ability to dodge through the defense, get through picks and double teams, and make a variety of plays. She plays fast, hustles hard on rides, and a tremendous off ball players and finisher. Tawes dominates at the regional level in California and is a solid playmaker (with and without the ball) in elite showcases and national competition. As for areas of improvement, we’d love to see Dylan work on her quickness on 1st step and ability to be more dynamic as a dodger by using splits and face dodges to get underneath defenders which will be key to beating bigger physical defenders. Tawes is a solid player and has a real chance of making a D1 roster as she keeps playing and improving.
