Elizabeth Walsh is a tall athletic right handed defender with strong hands, great footwork, and the ability to power the ball down the field and score in transition. Liz showcases her closing speed and lateral speed on dodgers and switching onto the opposing players. She plays with a sense of urgency and is just a menace on the defensive side. We love her ability high IQ to defend off ball and on ball, as she slides well and steps infront of passes and causes turnovers. In transition, Liz shows above average speed, ground ball skills, and a “get out of my way” power cradle while she pushes up the field. She makes great decisions with the ball and will go coast to coast and score all on her own. Our staff thinks she is a mid/high level D1 defender and will only get better the next few seasons playing elite/national level competition for her HS and club teams.
