DALLAS, TX – The first day of girls’ competition Saturday at the C2C Spotlight in the Dallas area featured work on stick skills and fundamentals, using three indoor rinks. At Sole Roll The girls eventually broke off into teams and played some scrimmages. Here are some of the girls that shined on Day 1 of C2C Spotlight.

Courtney Anderson, Coppell HS (TX), 2018, M/D, Anderson is a star in the making. The sophomore has great stick skills and is a beast on defense. She will definitely be a force at the next level. Love watching Anderson play the game, you can tell she loves the game.
Megan Carney, John Paul II HS, plays for McKinney (TX), 2018, Attack, Carney is impressive around the goal with some nifty dodges and a spectacular shot. She has the goods to be a star at the next level
Morgan McCaffery, Keller HS (TX), 2018, Midfield, McCaffery has fun out there. She makes good plays. The sophomore has a good LAX I.Q.
Charlotte North, Episcopal School of Dallas (TX), 2017, Midfield, The recent Duke commit has great stickwork and moves well with or without the ball. North is the real deal and will excel in the ACC.
Sydney Lawrence, Plano (TX), 2018, M/D, Lawrence was impressive on some draw controls, fighting for the ball and getting the groundballs. Lawrence is in tremendous shape and hustles. Love the way this kid plays the game.
Angela Varela, Coppell HS (TX), 2018, Defense, Varela is a tremendous defender with good stick skills. The footwork is there. She is fun to watch play the game.
Emma Becker, Lamar HS (TX) 2017, Becker will be a solid pickup for a collge program. The junior goalkeeper is not shy and will communicate with her team. She made some good saves.
Andi Haven, Prosper HS (TX), 2018, M/D, Haven is a quick and aggressive player. She has good positiong on defense and looks to be a leader in the making.
Caitlin Cho, Episcopal School of Dallas (TX), 2018, Midfield, Cho is another player that is exciting to see play. She runs well and gets after the groundballs. A great athlete.
Emily Stallings, The Hockaday School (TX), 2017, Midfield, The recent USC commit will be a star at the next level. Has good hands and moves the ball well. Isn’t afraid to play some defense.
