Junior attackman Kyler Bishop had a goal and nine assists as Hoover defeated Spain Park, 16-11, today to claim the Alabama boys’ state championship.
The Buccaneers (14-5) claimed their fourth state title in six years and avenged an 11-7 loss to the Jaguars (12-4) on April 23.
Spain Park had won the title the past two years.

The Mavericks (19-2) jumped to a 9-1 lead and claimed their third consecutive SPC title by downing the defending state champion Daisies (13-4). The two teams are the top contenders for the state title; the tourney will be held next weekend at North Park in Southlake.
Mt. Hebron (MD) 17, Centennial (MD) 4
Sam Brookhart scored five goals and dished off the assists to lead No. 10 Mt. Hebron (12-2) to the easy victory.
