Somerville High School (NJ) senior attackman Bryan Rogers has made a commitment to play Division III lacrosse at Stevens Institute of Technology.
Bryan Rogers ledger:
High School: Somerville High School, Somerville, New Jersey
Graduation Year: 2014
Position: Attack
College Choice: Stevens Institute of Technology
Club Affiliation: Patriot Elite
Major lacrosse honors: NSCLA, King of the Hill, Legacy Invitational, Jersey Shootout
Academic Honors: National Honors Society, High Honor Roll, and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year Honor award
What will you major in/study? Biomedical engineering or business
Why did you choose Stevens Tech? “Not only does Stevens have great academics and an outstanding lacrosse tradition, I have grown up around the school since I was five. Coaches Peluso and Koch were awesome throughout the recruiting process and made me feel right at home during my campus visit. The location of the school is awesome, and felt like it would be the best fit for me.”
What are your thoughts on this past HS lacrosse season/ teams outlook for next year? “This past season we advanced to the Group Two State Championship for the second year in a row and played in the Somerset County finals for the first time. Despite losing several key players from the 2013 season, we return a strong group of seniors and are looking for several underclassmen to fill in the gaps. We are hoping for similar success this upcoming year.”
Other schools considered: Drew University, Scranton, Ohio Wesleyan
Thank You: “I would like to thank my High School Coaches Eaton, Dugan, Flanagan, and Dougherty. They constantly pushed me to get better everyday throughout the season. Patriot lacrosse was instrumental throughout the process and gave me advice that greatly influenced my decision. I would also like to thank my youth coach, Neil LeBlond, he is one of the main reasons as to why I started playing lacrosse.
Lastly, I would like to thank my parents and sister for always supporting me no matter what. They are always there for me and I don’t know what I would do without them.”
