This year’s NXT Showcase Lacrosse Can-Am Showcase will be the most diverse one to date.

Eleven states and two provinces will be represented among the more than 200 players at Detroit Country Day School (MI) for the fourth-year event, which features the Midwest’s and Canada’s top players in what has grown into the Midwest’s top recruiting event.
Players from will come from as far south as Georgia and as far west as Alberta. Every team is coached by a Division I coach, which stresses both the education and exposure aspects of Showcase Lacrosse. It doesn’t hurt to have players play at one of the top facilities in the country in DCDS.
For Jake Belanger, though, the commute to DCDS will be just another day. Belanger, a 2018 faceoff specialist and midfielder, is a two-sport athlete for the Yellow Jackets. His hockey season starts Saturday, but he’s got his eyes on his lacrosse stick first and foremost.
