1/27/2023 STEVENSVILLE, MD – Jack Read, a junior goaltender of the Severn School (MD), has made his college commitment to play D1 lacrosse at the University of Vermont. Read, an Inside Lacrosse 3-Star Recruit, plays club lacrosse for highly ranked Annapolis Hawks 2024 and currently the starting goalie for the Severn School (MIAA).

While playing in showcases and recruiting events this past year, Read has been named Under Armour All American Highlight Division (Baltimore), One Percent All-Star, Nike National All-Star games (Team Maryland), The Show All-Star/All-Tournament Team, Inside Lacrosse Tournament All-Star, Iron 44 Combine All-Star/Best Goalie.

In the classroom, Jack is a 4 Semester Head’s List, National Honors Society member, Severn School Ambassador and Severn School Diplomat! He plans on majoring in business at Vermont.

Why did you choose the University of Vermont?: When I visited the school, I fell in love with the campus and the area and saw it as a place I would be happy with. What made me make my final decision was the fact that the coaching staff was very supportive of me.
