6/27/23 – Austin, TX – Westlake and Nassau Community College’s Houston Horton, sets his sights on UMBC. Horton is a 2nd-team All-American FOGO and received a three-star rating from Inside Lacrosse. He is the highest graded faceoff out of JUCO. In the classroom he is an academic All-American. Horton will major in Computer Science at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC).

Why did you choose UMBC? – “I’ve always wanted to go there since high school and it was a long road since the fit wasn’t the best at Robert Morris and I had to go to JUCO out of the transfer portal. But all in all, I think the rough road I had to take made me a better lacrosse player and person in general. I got a really good vibe from the coaches and it seemed like a school I would really like to be at and play for.”
Who do you wish to thank? – “I want to thank my coaches, my family, and my teammates because I definitely wouldn’t be the person or player I am today without them and wouldn’t have had a shot at this opportunity.”
