Alexander Ellison would like to study interior design and pursue architecture as a career while playing college lacrosse.
His dream may have seemed challenging before. Thanks to Bridge Lacrosse and with help from Victory Events, Ellison is on track to realize his dreams.

Ellison has been named the inaugural winner of the Victory 1st Award, given to a future first generation college student to assist in their college application and recruiting process. Winners are chosen on their ability to display leadership and community service.
Ellison, a 2023 defenseman from Duncanville High School, plays for the grassroots Bridge program, a non-profit organization in the Dallas area that provides lacrosse programs to under-resourced and urban youth.
Ellison has played lacrosse for 8 years and last spring he competed on the Bridge JV team in scholastic lacrosse (Duncanville does not have a team). Bridge competes with other Texas High in the North Region Class C Division and its varsity was the division champion.

The Victory 1st Award winner earns a spot in the Victory Events showcase; Ellison will compete Friday in the Cowboy Cup Showcase in Plano, TX. His Bridge team also will play in the Cowboy Cup tournament Saturday and Sunday.
Ellison is a Boy Scout leader and has been a Boy Scout for 5 years. “It’s helped me in different ways,” he said. “It’s helped me with different skills I will need to go out and survive.
“And I like helping less fortunate people in the community. I’ve helped with getting clothes and food donated. I am grateful for as much as I have. Others do not have as much and as many chances as me.”
Ellison has begun looking at colleges in the region. “To me and my family, it would be great doing what I love and to get an education. I would be winning in both ways; doing what I love to do and later making money to provide for myself when I get older.”
