2025 New Trier High School midfielder, Ellie Bornhoeft, commits to Ivy League Division 1 Dartmouth college. Ellie will be making the hike from the Winneketa, Illinois to Hanover, New Hampshire to make an impact on this program. While navigating the recruiting process, Ellie played club for Team One Wildcat and also considered the some pretty well known programs Cornell, Harvard, USC, and Northwestern. Despite these amazing offers, when asked “Why Dartmouth?”, Ellie told TLR “The community, the culture, the coaches, the amazing campus, everything felt perfect.” Some lacrosse achievments Ellie brings with her to Hanover are she is a 2023 state champion, E12 Midwest Elite camper, and also apart of 2023 Best in Class. Going Ivy, we have to expect Ellie does well in the classroom, and we can prove that by seeing she is in all AP and high honors classes, and she will continue this academic excellence as she majors in STEM at Dartmouth.
