What will you major in/study? Communications/Psychology
Why did you choose the school? “It was all around a good fit for me. I loved the atmosphere of the campus and I made a great connection with the coaching staff. It’s a lacrosse program that has a history of winning and they’re hungry for a championship every year. Onondaga Community College recruits some of the best players in the nation and I’m excited to get after a championship with some of the most talented players in the country. They haven’t lost in six years, which makes Onondaga the winningest team in the nation; and as a competitor, nothing feels better than a win, and a championship after all of the hard work you put in. Academically, they have everything to offer and I’m excited to pursue my education and play for one of the best teams in the nation.”
Outlook for 2015 HS season? “We have a very young team this year with a lot of talent. We have a brand new coaching staff for 2015. We lost some offensive talent due to the graduation of players in 2014, but our team should be pretty solid this year, and we’ll be fighting for the Finger Lakes League title, and hopefully make a good run in sectionals.”
Thank You: “I would like to thank my current coaches and some of my past coaches for all of the work that they have put in with me off of the practice field to make me a better athlete in the cage: Tyrone Thomas, Matthew Morrin, Josh Kierst, Rick Von Bergen, and my club team goalie coach Alex Krawec. I can’t forget my parents for all of the support and encouragement and, not to mention, the long car rides to tournaments.”
Other schools considered? Monroe Community College, Genesee Community College, Binghamton, High Point, Indianapolis, Lake Erie.
