Why did you choose Bates, Men’s D3? “I chose Bates because as a prospective lacrosse player, I had a call with Coach (Peter) Lasagna, which only confirmed that Bates is where I want to spend the next four years. Coach didn’t only talk to me as a lacrosse player, but also made me feel heard as a person in society. Being a black player in a predominantly white sport like lacrosse makes it hard to be able to be myself, but the diversity on the Bates lacrosse team as well as within the athletic department and the school as a whole shows me that they care about a diverse world, not just having a few people of color on the team as poster boys.”
Thank You: “I wish to first thank my parents who have driven me to countless tournaments and showcases since the second grade and pushed me to work harder as a person. Without them none of this would have been able to happen. I also want to thank each and everyone one of my coaches I have had, whether it be on the township, club, or high school levels because they all helped me become the player I am today.”
