High School: McCallie School, TN

Graduation Year: 2017

Position: M/FO

College Choice: Furman University

Club Affiliation: Georgia Thunder

Lacrosse Honors: Top 205 All-Star, NSCLA, Crabfeast, King of the Hill, Best of the Best

What will you major in/study? Chemistry/Pre-Med

Why did you choose Furman? “The minute I stepped on campus I fell in love with the school. It is perfect for for me athletically and academically. I really like the classoom size allowing students to interact with each other as well as the professors. Furman can also get me into medical school allowing me to achieve my goal of being a Radiologist.

“I believe Coach (Richie) Meade knows where and how to build the program into an elite Division 1 Lacrosse School. I also like the teammates, which was another huge part in my decision. Team chemistry allows teams to win games, but it starts with each other off the lacrosse field.”

Thoughts on last season/outlook for next season? “Last season, McCallie lost in the State Championship game to MUS who is a very good team. Patrick Dimento was a big reason why, he is now at Furman. Next season, we have a lot of talented seniors and juniors who will lead the way back to the state title game, to have a win this time.”

Thank You: “I would like to thank my parents. They sacrifice so much, so that I may take advantage of this opportunity. Thank you to my coaches both Club and High School who put me in the position to showcase well.

“My friends and family including my teammates have given me an infinite amount of support thought my years of playing lacrosse.

“Thanks to my high school coach, Troy Kemp, and my coaches for Georgia Thunder, Kevin Hudson and Josh White.

“Finally there is one person, who helped me begin the recruiting process and help me develop as an athlete and a man, George Ehlers. He was my mentor through both Thunder and McCallie, freshman year and spent countless summer hours practicing with me to help me be prepared for showcases and tournaments.”

Other schools considered: Duke, Johns Hopkins
