Why did you choose Wooster? “Choosing the College of Wooster was an immediate and seamless process. I had mentally chosen Wooster the second I left the campus. I had a great experience while there and had very fluid and meaningful talks with the coaching staff throughout the decision process. I never had any doubt in my mind that I wouldn’t be at Wooster soon. It took some time for me to convince my father, as Wooster was the first college that I had visited alone. After speaking with the Head Lax Coach (Coach Kav), my dad was fully on board and supported my decision. I look forward to being a member of the lax program while also discovering new passions and exploring my academic interests.”
HS team’s outlook for 2018 season? “My high school lacrosse team is certainly not the best within the league. We are in a major rebuilding process as a team, but also within the male athletic program as a whole. The minimal success we have found in the W column never stopped me, though. I am still proud to lead my team into every practice and every battle, both on and off the field.”
Thank You: “My first thank you must be to my father, Tom Hallahan, who always encouraged me to play team sports. I had never even heard of lacrosse until I got to Falmouth Academy. I tried it in seventh grade and fell in love. I began taking my play and my intensity of the sport seriously only within the past few years. I thank my high school coaching staff, in particular Coach Mike Deasy for always believing in me and pushing me to my limits. My head Coach, Mr. Earley, shared his passion and love of the sport with me and that really motivated me to strive and be the player he once was (and still is). And of course, I have to thank my friends and family for supporting me and cheering me on through rain and sunshine.”
Other schools considered: The College of Holy Cross, Skidmore, St. Lawrence University
