High School: Eden Prairie High School, MN

Graduation Year: 2016

Position: Defense

College Choice: Messiah College (ConnectLAX college profile)

Club Affiliation: True Lacrosse Minnesota

Lacrosse Honors: Minnesota State Champions 2014

What will you major in/study? Biology

Why did you choose Messiah? “I chose Messiah because the school was a great environment, that I immediately fell in love with when arriving on campus. Messiah also is a great school academically, I will be attending to study Biology. Messiah is a dry campus, and that played a huge part in my decision. I like the idea of being able to hang out and have the occasional party but, to not have to worry about getting in trouble for drugs or alcohol.

“When I met the team, I knew immediately that I would fit right in, they were a lot of guys just like me. Also, I felt the brotherhood of the team the first night that I was on campus, and I am so glad that I will get to be a part of it.

“I also loved the coaches. Coach (Jacob) Ashton was the first to contact me after UpLax this past spring, and he was great through the entire recruiting process. After talking to coach Ashton for some time, I was able to tell that we had very similar personalities, and I would really enjoy him as a coach. Coach (Will) Johnson was great as well. He reminded me a great deal of one of my high school coaches, and I am glad to have such a familiar kind of coach on the field. And finally there was Coach (Atsen) Bulus. After meeting coach Bulus I knew that he was the guy that I wanted to coach me for my college lacrosse career.”

Outlook for your High School season? “I will play on our varsity team heading for a third state championship in a row.”

Thank You: “I’m blessed to have such great brothers. Brady Murphy, Connor Sinibaldi, Cory Hurst, and Mitch Salanty.

“I thank, Lc Moerschel, Ryan Ward, Ryan Burt, Jacob Ashton, Atsen Bulus, Will Johnson, Todd Baxter, Tony Dona, and Geoff Lasda.”

Other schools considered: Beloit College, Hanover, Depauw, Adrian
