Bridgewater-Raritan Regional High School (NJ) 2016 attackman Ryan Kaden has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at New Jersey Institue of Technology (NJIT).
High School: Bridgewater-Raritan Regional High School, New Jersey
Graduation Year: 2016
Position: Attack
College Choice: New Jersey Institue of Technology-NJIT (ConnectLAX college profile)
Club Affiliation: 2 Knights lacrosse
Lacrosse Honors: Varsity Letter as a Sophomore, 2014 and 2013 Gait Cup All-Star
What will you major in/study? Undecided/Engineering or Informational Technology
Why did you choose NJIT? “I decided on NJIT because it has great academics and has a great reputation. I also would like to do something in the area of technology, so without question, NJIT seems like the place to be. I was contacted by Coach (Travis) Johnson and was quite surprised, and when I got on campus, I was even more pleased. I like the opportunity of starting up a Division One program and having an opportunity to play on a high level lacrosse team.”
Outlook for 2015 HS season? “After going 10-8 last year, we expect a great season, we have lost few players and expect to build on leadership from the seniors and strong play throughout the whole team. We are expecting to do big things this year.”
Thank You: “I would like to thank Coach Apel my high school coach along with Coach Matt Apel, and Coach Lovejoy from Watchung. I would also like to thank all of my other coaches from football and lacrosse, for pushing me to be the best I can and for helping me decide on a good place to play.
“I would also like to thank my parents for driving me all over the place and sitting through some cold games, but always supporting me.
“Lastly, I would like to thank my brother for pushing me to play harder and never give up, and to always be working.”
