Billerica Memorial High School (MA) 2016 goalie Tyler Canto has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at the University of Massachusetts-Lowell.

Club Affiliations: Raptors/HGR/Laxachusetts

Lacrosse Honors: All-League, All-Star and HGR indoor All-Star

What will you major in/study? Undecided

Why did you choose UMass Lowell? “I chose UMass-Lowell for many different reasons. The reasons were, that all the coaches were very nice, the campus was great with a lot of new additions being added and the school is very close to where I live now. The final reason is that I thought it would be a great experience to got to Umass Lowell athletically and academically.”

Thoughts on this past season/outlook for next season? “I thought that we were a decent team last year. We were very young, mostly Sophomores and Juniors with some Seniors and Freshman. Next season we should be one of the top teams in the State. We currently have 3 other commits in addition to me and more to come. I think we will be a very strong team next year.”
