Why did you choose the school? “I knew after I left from my visit in September that Colgate was where I wanted to spend my four years of college. First and foremost, Colgate is a great university with top tier academics, and a degree from Colgate can open up an endless number of doors job wise after graduation. The campus and town of Hamilton are beautiful. I feel very comfortable with the size of the school and the number of students per class. I have appreciated Coach Toomy and Coach Murphy and how honest and open they have continued to be throughout the process. I like that year after year, the coaches have put an extremely competitive team on the field, within an incredibly strong Patriot League conference.”

Outlook for 2015 HS season? “At Battlefield, we return most of our starters and look to make the Virginia state tournament for the fifth consecutive year. Hopefully we can get over the hump that the state semis has been for the last 3 years. I am really excited for the season.”

Big thanks to the upperclassmen from the 2013 Battlefield team. They helped me grow by never treating me like a freshman on the field, but looked out for me off the field.
