Boys’ results: McDonogh rallies to defeat Calvert Hall in suspended MIAA game with Kudda.com replay

Austin Frederick scored two key goals and McDonogh School (MD) scored all three fourth-period goals and claimed a key 9-6 MIAA victory Saturday over host Calvert Hall in a game suspended Friday because of lightning.

The Eagles (9-3, 3-1) are in a second-place tie with the Cardinals (7-3, 3-1), St. Paul’s, and Gilman School. Boys’ Latin leads the powerful conference with a 4-0 mark, and will play Calvert Hall Friday.

McDonogh was leading, 2-1, with 3:42 left in the first quarter when the game was suspended. goal. Johnny Kelly scored to give the Cards a 3-2 lead after one quarter and then Steven Kelly tallied twice and Garrett Epple scored to make it 5-3 Calvert Hall before halftime.

But the Eagles drew within 5-4 before the half and took a 6-5 lead before Timmy Kelly tied it, 6-6.
