Flint Hill (VA) rising junior midfielder Lizzy Schwien has made a commitment to play Division I lacrosse at the United States Naval Academy.

Lizzy Schwien ledger:

Lizzy Schwien

High School:
The Flint Hill School, VA

Graduation Year: 2015

Position: Midfield

College Choice: The US Naval Academy

Club Affiliation: Capital Lacrosse Club 2015 Blue

Major lacrosse honors:
Metro DC top 50 scorers, National School Girls: Metro DC team, Stars Gold, Lax for the Cure 2012 Champions

What will you major in/study? “I’m not exactly sure yet. The Naval Academy has many good majors to choose from.”

Why did you choose the school?
“My Dad went to West Point and served in the Army for 20years. He always encouraged me to look into the Academies. When I visited Navy, I loved the campus, team, and the coaches. It just seemed like the perfect school for me. I’m excited about the military aspect of the school and all the important skills they teach you. I think going into the Navy will be an amazing experience.”

What are your thoughts on this past HS lacrosse season/team’s outlook for next season?
“The team became really close this year and it showed on the field. We had a great season, but we ended up loosing in the ISL quarters to Holton Arms – who we had beat earlier in the season. This put us in a much lower place in the ISLs then I feel we deserved. Hopefully, we will be able to place higher next year and just improve as a whole.

Thank You: “I would like to thank my parents for taking me to all my tournaments and always supporting me. Also my club coaches for guiding me through this whole experience.”

Wave One Sports, the official sponsor for TopLaxRecruits.com girls’ recruits, congratulates Lizzy Schwien. Wave One Sports is the leader in custom Lacrosse and Field Hockey uniforms.
