Standout 2025 defender, Ava Schirtzer, has decided to further her academic and athletic career at the University of Pittsburgh (Pitt). Schirtzer, a junior at Mount Sinai High School, played in the 2023 All-America games for the Long Island team. Prior to her commitment to Pitt, Schirtzer was apart of the extremely talented Yellow Jackets 2025 Spallina team.
Why did you choose Pitt? – “Pitt is a great academic fit. I love the athletic atmosphere as well. The coaching staff is wonderful and I believe they will continue to help me develop as a player.” (Schirtzer)
