Tuesday’s HS boys’ results: DeMatha wins; No. 1 Boys’ Latin tops St. Andrew’s (FL)

Vince Principe (committed to Catholic) had two goals and an assist and goalie Nick Ramsey (Navy) made nine saves as host DeMatha (Md.) opened its season Tuesday by defeating St. Alban’s (DC), 7-3, in a non-league boys’ lacrosse game.

Greyson Torain (Navy) and Brady Thompson (Lehigh) each added a goal and an assist for DeMatha.

DeMatha Catholic HS senior Garrett Hasken (#25), a Brine All American commit to Navy, intercepts a pass in front of the DeMatha’s goal and runs it back to midfield to set up an early score in the first half of DeMatha’s season opener win vs. St Albans

Boys’ Latin (MD) 14, St. Andrew’s (FL) 4

Colin Heacock scored two goals and 12 different players scored in all as the No. 1 Lakers (2-0) defeated the defending Florida state champions (7-2) in Boca Raton.

Bullis (MD) 8 Flint Hill (DC) 2

Mitch Goldberg had three goals and an assist and Brandon Burke posted 15 saves while Nick Fields and Joe Stucky had seven groundballs each for Bullis in its opener.

Hill Academy (Ontario) 7, Gonzaga (DC) 6

No. 7 Hill Academy (3-1) bounced back A loss to St. Paul’s, while the No. 13 Purple Eagles fell to 1-1.

Paul VI (VA) 7, Georgetown Prep (MD) 5

The Panthers (2-0) pulled off a mild surprise over the Hoyas (1-1).
