Sara Curley scored the game-winner as visiting Radnor (PA) notched the game’s final three goals and dealt Carondelet (CA) its first loss of the year, 11-10, on Tuesday.
Grace Collins made 13 saves for Radnor – ranked No. 20 by TopLaxrecruits.com – while Shannon Quinn scored four goals and Brooke Pancoast had two goals and two assists. Radnor held the Cougars scoreless for the final 16 minutes of play.
Carondelet (7-1) was up 8-7 at half, but was held to two goals in the second half, partly due to the play of Collins and also defender Lyndsey Britton (two groundballs, two caused turnovers, two draw controls, one goal).
Carondelet’s Erin Jeffery led all scorers with four goals and three assists, but some key turnovers by the Cougars were crucial.
St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes (VA) 15, St. Ignatius Prep (CA) 3
No. 2–ranked St. Stephen’s (4-0) coasted in San Francisco as Darby Philbrick had three goals and Besser Dyson dished four assists.
Harriton (PA) 13, Barron Collier (FL) 8
The visiting Rams scored six straight goals to break open a 6-6 game and deal the Cougars (11-1) their first defeat of the year.
Sabrina Tabasso scored four goals and Katie Melvin and Maura Henderson each added three for Harriton while Sam Jaffe led Barron Collier with three goals.
McDonogh (MD) 18, Archbishop Spaulding (MD) 7
The No. 1 Eagles improved to 6-0 overall and 3-0 in the IAAM with the easy win as Megan Whittle scored six goals, Sammi Burgess three and Casey Black two.
Marriotts Ridge (MD) 23, Oakland Mills (MD) 1
Zoey Stukenberg had five goals and Maggie Brooks and Marissa Davey each scored four for No. 13 Marriotts Ridge (2-0).
Mt. Hebron (MD) 16, Wilde Lake (MD) 2
Sam Brookhart and Jen Giles each had four goals for No. 12 Mt. Hebron (2-0).
